What person isn't a Scrooge these days? The world is full of self-centered shits who only care about themselves.
It's a dog eat dog world. If you want to survive you've got to be equally brutal, never smiling and lashing out and insulting everyone you meet.
That's the only way to gain respect: through fear and intimidation. Kindness, is only perceived as weakness and those who exhibit it quickly get trampled under foot...which in some ways is better than living in this lousy world full of wretched stinking idiots.

At least Jacob Marley (Doctoroff) went first.....

But we're still stuck with Ebeneezer!
Don't hope for
any eleventh hour redemption here folks!
This is the real world.
Why besmirch the good name of Scrooge by associating it with the boor, bore and slow-witted Commissar?
Remember, Scrooge turned out reformed and redeemed. For the Commissar, that would be impossible.
