Flushing holiday tour

Five historic buildings in Flushing — some not generally open to the public — will take part in the annual holiday house tour on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1-5 p.m.

Holiday Tour Set For Historic Sites In Flushing

Participants will be able to ride a free trolley or walk from site to site. Tickets can be purchased on Dec. 9 at any of the locations. The price is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

It's really a tour of the sacred cows of preservation.....
the sites that are still standing.

Somebody should do a tour
of Flushing's demolished historic building sites
and, perhaps, lay a wreath at each piece
of "developed" real estate that replaced it.

They'd far outnumber what's left standing.

Instead of the usual hot mulled cider.....
bitter gall should be served up cold
by the historical society for this kind of tour!
