Oh no! Major League Baseball might threaten to never grant another interview to the New York Post until they apologize for this headline, which could be interpreted as a death threat!
METS PHILLIN' NOOSE TIGHTEN
Well maybe not, it was just a headline. If it were a cartoon, they'd really be in for it.
Let's go Mets!

the Post is way too caught up in coming up with clever headlines for their articles. They're putting out a newspaper, after all, not a collection of short stories.
I find it offensive that the NY Post would use a noose as a symbol for a pennant race. I say ban the N-Word.
I will not read their newspaper until they offer me a public apology.
While they are at it I think the New York Post should offer a public apology to the Mayor, Dan Doctoroff, and Matt, err what's his name.
They don't have to apologize to Dennis Gallagher since he should be stoned in the public square along with all homosexuals.
I think you have a lot to learn if you equate a drawing of a noose over a tree branch saying "Reserved for" certain people's names, to a newspaper using the word "Noose" to signify a baseball team's "choking" in the pennant race. The poster at the rally was not trying to send a message that the politicians were getting too nervous under pressure to perform their duties. He was sending an offensive message that the politicians should be strung up and hung.
I think you have a lot to learn if you don't recognize sarcasm when you see it.
The Bloomberg administration trying to inject race into the poster with their names on it (when none of them are black) are the ones who should be ashamed.
The TREE was seeking revenge for the deaths of his/her neighbors in that cartoon. Stop trying to stretch it into something it wasn't.
...a newspaper using the word "Noose" to signify a baseball team's "choking" in the pennant race...
I interpreted it as the Phillies were going to hang the Mets. It's a death threat.
No, the Mets will hang themselves. It's a suicide warning.
wonder if Willie will be getting the axe?
Can't we all just start using nice, sensitive terms?
Look at what a cartoon did to hurt the feelings of these sweet, sensitive, politicians. The cartoon even turned the tough Gorton into a crybaby sissy. He needed to turn to the tough Parvizi for consolation and to fight his battle.
Even the Commissar himself, normally such a gentle sensitive fellow, turned to Lee Bollinger (of Ahmadinejad fame) to help him take land from Harlemites for use by the wealthy Columbia?
We all know that the Commissar would never want to take land away from the owners so that the wealthy could profit. It was the bad words and a cartoon that made him that way. The bad words and cartoon destroyed all his delicate sensitivities.
See what bad words and cartoons can do?
I'm certainly pleased to see that many
still appreciate my fun poking political cartoon.
I guess that C.M. Gallagher doesn't agree
with his name being singled our in red on my poster
for his complicity in the destruction
of the historic St. Saviour's site.
I rather enjoy seeing his stooges
counter-posting on this blog site.
Keep 'em coming !
Correction:
Forth line down "our" should read "out".
Sorry.
No need to hang Gallagher (in effigy or otherwise).
Wait until he's found guilty of raping
a 50 year old grandma in his district office
while on the taxpayers' payroll!
Should the sentence be....tie his weenie in a knot?
Or is that too violent ?
Yeah.....
if Jerry has the balls to post with his name.....
how come Evan isn't commenting directly for the "Parkside Group"?
Or Gallagher for himself?
Deceitful cowards!
Maybe when politicians start acting civil
towards the voters they were elected to serve
there would be no need for any "offensive messages"
denoting their low job performance!
Jimmy Durante's famous line,
"Da nose knows".....
was originally censored from....
"Da NOOSE knows"!
Goodnight, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you hang.
