Safe to swim again
At 6 a.m. Sunday, the 5-foot shark washed ashore at Beach 113th Street in Rockaway. The parks department said it presumed the shark to be the same thresher that beached itself at Beach 109th Street on Saturday morning.
Rockaway Beach reopens after dead shark washes ashore
The beach, which had been closed Saturday, opened as usual at 10 a.m. Sunday after the discovery of the dead shark, the parks department said.

wonder what made it wash up ashore the first time. Was it too weak to fight the incoming currents or did it swim to the beach of its own accord for some reason?
It flunked the bar exam
and was looking for a job as a paralegal.
