Virus is back

For the first time this year, the West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes collected in Queens and on Long Island.

Mosquitoes with West Nile Found in Queens, L.I.

However, no humans or animals have tested positive for the virus.

The Queens's sample was detected on July 17 in Flushing.

I'd rather take my chances with this overinflated danger than have aerial spraying of toxic insecticides in our neighborhoods !

How come nobody has taken the time to come up with a vaccine for West Nile Virus ?

I think this may become just an excuse to put helicopters in the NYC air corridor (under a thinly disguised military exercise ???) to combat any future bio-terror assault) !

Does that sound too far fetched ? (Just an idle thought) !
