People buy homes because they like the neighborhood, schools, nearby parks and easy commute to Manhattan or Nassau County. Buyers like the ambiance of a community, style of houses, trees and grassy spaces. They either tend their own lawns and gardens or hire a landscaper. Today, all this cozy feeling is being eroded house by house, block by block and community by community. They raise a good point, but fail to drive it home. Spot downzoning simply pushes the plague somewhere else and ultimately comes back and drowns you in the end.
The entire city has to be downzoned for Zero Population Growth.
More people is more stress. More people takes away my taxes from services for me. More people does nothing for me, nothing at all.
The Times Ledger ran a decent piece, and I give them a thumbs up for exposing those weed wackers.
