2 workers fall from separate construction sites

A construction worker perched on the roof of a short building in Brooklyn fell three stories to his death yesterday shortly after noon.

Construction Worker Dies From Fall

In an unrelated accident less than three hours later, another workman fell from the roof of a construction site in Queens and suffered severe head and body trauma, the police said. Officials who arrived on the scene, at the corner of Beach 26th Street and Seagirt Boulevard in the Rockaways, found the man unconscious and took him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition last night.

DOB attributed the first accident to "worker error."

Worker error? Well if the guy is a day laborer picked up off the street, he wasn't trained properly, and it's not fair to blame him.
