The Daily News investigative series "Building Boom-doggle" prompted scores of e-mails, letters and phone calls from angry New Yorkers with overdevelopment horror stories of their own.

'Fines galore,' but eyesore lingers in Riverdale
"There are fines galore," Olsen said. "But what does anybody do about it? I have lived with this for four years." None of the fines have been paid, Buildings Department records show.

It's about time the mainstream press turned its attention to this issue.
Yeah....they've been hiding out on this issue for years !
Maybe it's because many of their friends are in the building business !!!
