It's a small world after all

This is happening halfway around the world but sounds an awful lot like what contractors do to day laborers here:

Six workers were killed late last month on an Olympics project, the construction of a subway tunnel...Many of the 2,000 workers building the National Stadium, the centrepiece of the Olympics site, are...from poverty-stricken Henan, where £70 a month sounds like a good wage to subsistence farmers, even though it is below the legal minimum in the capital.

So many immigrant advocacy groups are out there pushing for 'affordable' housing, yet not one, to my knowledge, goes after landlords or employers endangering immigrants.

What is the body count this year?
