Crapping on all cylinders

Taken from the parking lot of a CVS on Francis Lewis Blvd, this colossal load of crap is located at 36-12 to 36-24 195th Street in Bayside.
Why there are vertical cylinders running up and down these seven self-certified 3-family homes is one of the great mysteries of Queens. Why they are different colors is yet another question for the crap gods.
The spacious gardens, one-car garages and rusted balconies used for storage add to the ambiance.
Not surpisingly, one of these units of Queens Crap was used for a purpose other than for what it was constructed. Another allegedly housed an illegal apartment, but after 2 tries, the inspectors walked away and never came back.

What a piece of sh*t! A remarkable method of educating future generations and enhancing the quality of life of current generations.

This has to go down as a special place of honor in Crapland.

Make sure this picture appears on a poster at some future anti-development rally.

My *guess* is that the cylinders contain fire escape ladders.

It's in Auburndale. I lived two blocks from these and have always marveled at their ugliness and lack of green. One thing for sure, they are horribly maintained by the people living there, crap all out front, weeds, etc. on the tiny bit of grass. It seems buildings constructed with no pride lead to no pride for the people who eventually live there. It's a vicious cycle and look where it gets us--this.

To previous poster:

thank the machine. That is exactly want they want: it suits their purposes to a 't'.

You will never hear a whimper from them about this crap in your community.

Yikes!! This looks like some kind of middle eastern prison. This takes the crap cake!

The cylinders look like add-ons when you look closely at the pic. However, I doubt every homeowner on this block could have all lost their senses at the same time, and done the same thing to crappify their homes.

Sadly, this makes me ashamed to live in Queens.

"Sadly, this makes me ashamed to live in Queens."

Well, it doesn't seem to bother the politicians or newspapers, now, does it?

So much for leadership!

Please .. I've lived here all my life and gave up on the idea of having actual leadership long ago.

Silly....those are towers for the archers to shoot at DOB inspectors (note the placement of the defensive window slits)!

And look at that "superb" crenelated roof line.....great for battlements!

Every man's home appears to be his castle!

It looks like a straight 8 cylinder engine block pulled from a vintage Dusenberg automobile!
