Oh for goodness sakes, Eric, get off the crapper and put your support behind landmarking. The naysayers were vastly outnumbered at the hearing! Grow a spine!
"Any congressman will tell you, after a few stiff drinks, that kowtowing to the party is a close second, but pandering to the constituents is Job One."
I took this from the posting for the Forest Hills blog. It is the same old tired rubbish the people in Queens are fed by the likes of Shenkler, etc.
For the record, with the press singing the chorus, the constituents are played like a fiddle.
This is exhibit "A." The interests of voters and taxpayers ALWAYS take a back seat to the machine. There is full knowledge that the public has no option at getting back at them.
The machine will never accept this public defeat. They will never accept losing control over a community. Pure and simple.
Ain't that the truth. Like any one party state, they are brittle. If they cannot look out for their interest groups, people will lose faith in them and they will melt like spring snow before an April sun.
They have no choice but grimly hang on (and try to come up with ways to shut this pesky little blog down.)
Come on guys, this high school stuff cheapens the blog and gets sympathy for wet behind the ear punks like Gioia, who wants to go forward on the crushed lives of his constituents and the rubble of the communities he has taken an oath of office to protect.
The issue here, our friends, is character. Character.
Hey..."high school" guy.....this kind of colorful chatter is what makes this site a must see for all (judging by the enormous amount of hits that QC gets)!
It is all about Gioia's "character". This is the level of criticism he deserves!
Italicized passages and many of the photos come from other websites. The links to these websites are provided within the posts.
Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. They are not connected to this website and the opinions presented here do not necessarily represent the positions of these organizations.

Yeah really, Eric, grow a pair.
I think these "surveys" are his way of practicing for public advocate.
Yeah, what a great public advocate he'd make for the City of New York by concentrating his efforts on Darfur.
He's going to take the coward's way out and continue to gather information and send out surveys until the LPC makes a decision for him.
I don't understand. This isn't really a political hot potato. These people were making a lot of noise but there were relatively few of them.

This is Rodin's long lost statue:
"The Stinker"
Eric Gioia's campaign slogan:
"Vote for me. I threw up in the neighborhood"
Eric Gioia's explanation for the delay: "I'm still waiting to open all the envelopes and see what the highest bid is."
"But, never fret; I'll look at all new bids."
Previous poster: priceless!
I love this blog!!
This must be Gioia's example of leadership- sitting on the fence.
This stance is exactly what we would expect from Gioia. The guy has no guts.
Wadda ya expect from a mealy- mouthed, ass kissing Dem Machine politico like Mr. Gioia-boy!
He doesn't even have the panache to be a real thug like some of the more heavy duty party hacks!
Eric can't "grow a pair"....like one poster suggested.....he had them removed when he went "trans- gender"!
