It is disturbing that even the larger papers are picking up nonsense stories that are simply the result of politically motivated harrassment campaigns. You'd expect the Queens weaklies to have such low standards, but it seems that the Times and Daily News are following.
I expect to read sensationalized feces in tabloids, but not in "legitamate" newspapers.
Tony, you want to be mayor? Then toe the line with the rules. Move the G-D pool already! Pay your two dollars. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Exercise some humility. Remember LaGuardia"s "When I make a mistake, it's a beaut." If I were your neighbor, I wouldn't want the splashes on my property either! Keep the 5-foot rule! Have a press conference saying you'll move the pool, invite the media in to watch, and then you'll win big with the voters when the election rolls around - a politician doing the right thing.
[Please "beef-up" the landscaping around this Pool(?..hhmm, look's more like an oversized bathtub.)
The Times never sends a reporter to Queens to get an actual story. The general feeling in Manhattan is that Queens is a plantation.
Don't ask the locals. They don't know what is good for them and giving them the idea that they can voice an opinion might make them frisky and a little difficult to manage.
If you want to know what the people of Queens feel - ask massa.
Considering the "pool parties" (or is it hot tub parties) that Melinda Katz, various politicos (both male & female) and developer friends have had in the past......why does DOB keep needling Tony on such a minor questionable pool placement issue ?
The answer....VENDETTA!
C.M. Avella did the unthinkable....he criticized our lazy and corrupt DOB!
Way to go Tony....you've got my support and vote for your mayoral run!

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. The papers will grasp at anything to try to make Avella look bad. They all want Quinn in 2009.

George, that is not a photo of Avella's pool. Just a generic pool photo.

The pool BS has Dennis Gallagher's paw prints all over it. He's one step below a water rat and this is exactly the way he operates.
Thankfully Tony has plenty on that pink piece of crap to bring him down.
Two can play at this game Pinky!
Glad to see your constituents are wise to you and are standing up to your tactics.
