High-rise Chutzpah

So, you thought the Atlantic Yards deal was already too expensive? Well, the Daily News reports that the price tag just got larger:

City: 100M for Yards land

The city wants to spend $100 million to buy land tied to the Atlantic Yards project - money previously thought to be earmarked for improving infrastructure for the development.

So the city is going to bail out Ratner?

let Bruce eat his own bitter piece of fruit that he greedily bit off too quickly!

Of course the city will kick in $$$$$$$$ for Ratner. Bruce and Bloomberg are bung-hole buddies!

Us taxpayers will really be payingfor it in the end!

Check out the page 1 photo in the current issue of the Queens Gazette. There amongst the "dignitaries" at the "ground-breaking for the new LaGuardia Tower is Fed. Judge Nicholas Garaufis (far right, background, tousled grey hair, wearing glasses). Garaufis, as you may know, is the jurist handling the Atlantic Yards eminent domain case. He's in the photo because he was a former legal counsel for the FAA.
