Same owner, different crap
The person responsible for Sunday's controversial pile of commercial crap on Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village is also to blame for this nearby eyesore at 69-62 Grand Avenue in Maspeth. He just had to build up an extra story and out to the curb. Also had to add those gaudy railings for a final vomit-inducing touch.

How appropriate that it sits right next to the Queens Ledger building - two disgusting pieces of crap right next to each other.
Who would want a balcony that fronts Grand Avenue? With all the pollution and noise coming from the trucks that pass by, you'd have to wonder...

If I had to choose among the three buildings in that photo, that new one that you're complaining about is the more attractive one by far. The one on the left extends out to the sidewalk as much as the new one, and all it is is a rectangular box. The one to the right, well...brrrrrrr. That facade's just damn ugly.
This has to be one of the ugliest buildings in Queens.
Just brutal.

When I was a kid I used to build forts for my Star Wars and GI Joe figures out of carboard boxes. I just slapped them together, never decoreated them, and taped whatever stuff I could find to the front.
This building looks EXACTLY like the stuff I used to build.
That is precisely what this looks like - a big ugly carboard box with tacky doll house adormnents slapped on - fake mediterranean roof, gaudy columns - one of the worst featured yet on QC. This needs to be torn down.
This looks like a building where hostages would be held in Beiruit.

Did anyone notice that there appears to be a trap door and ladder leading from the top balcony to the one below?
What the hell is this? An emergency escape for when the building becomes too ugly for the tenants to stand anymore?

That building doesn't look like it is wide enough to accomodate a residential dwelling.
